IMAF Mortgage Debt Report.
IMAF, The Independent mortgage advisers federation, of which this firm is a long standing member, recently issued a comprehensive report on the mortgage debt crisis in Ireland. Frank was a member of the sub-committee that compiled the report. He believes that the report, while pragmatic and realistic, is a much more caring document than the recently published "Keane" report, which was commisioned by the government. This complex area has been the subject of non-stop debate for three years, and Frank hopes that the IMAF report will provide significant insights into the problem, and hopefully assist in its long term resolution. Mortgage Brokers have a unique insight into the problems and deal on a daily basis with their clients who are experiencing difficulties, and the lending institutions. Frank beleives that until significant progress is made in the mortgage debt crisis, the economy will be unable to return to any meaningful growth, and that the two issues are inexorably linked.
